A PAIR OF RARE HUANGHUALI ADJUSTABLE LAMPSTANDS, SHENGJIANSHI DENGTAI LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY

The circular candle stand with beaded edge supported by four hanging spandrels of stylized chi dragons arranged around a central adjustable post of circular section slotting through the stand and joined at the lower end to a horizontal movable bar secured in grooved inner faces of the side posts, the stand supported at the base by standing spandrels of squared scroll-form, raised on conforming shoe feet
