A RARE MING BLUE AND WHITE BRUSH HANDLE
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD
The slender cylindrical handle entwined by a five-clawed dragon leaping amidst flower sprigs in pursuit of a flaming pearl above a band of waves, with a wave border below and a border enclosing the nianhao above, the circular tip decorated with a flowerhead, all in an underglaze blue of bright inky tone, the bristles set into a bulbous wood mount decorated in silver wire inlay
