The figured silk woven with roundels incorporating Buddhist emblems, applied on the front and back with an embroidered military badge of a panther, biao, denoting sixth rank, the badge worked in satin stitch with bright colors, with the panther picked out in yellowish ochre

It is rare to find panther badges in pairs, particularly attached to a coat. Stylistically, this badge would appear to date from 1850-75.
