Finely worked on the front and back panels with an allover pattern of flowering peony branches picked out in shades of purple, pink, and blue, within purple brocade borders and black-ground bands at the sides, collar and cuffs, the cuffs with cream-ground inner sleeves similarly embroidered, all against a satiny pale aqua ground, the entire robe lined in brown and white fur
