A WELL-CARVED WHITE JADE INCENSE BURNER AND COVER

The compressed globular body raised on three cabriole supports issuing from the mouths of lion-head masks, carved in shallow relief around the sides with an archaistic band incorporating two taotie masks below a narrow band of chevron pattern, with a pair of loop handles suspending loose rings surmounted by the forequarters of a winged dragon issuing from the flat rim, the domed cover carved with a similar archaistic band below a hollowed finial carved as a waisted band of petals rising to a ruyi collar, the semi-translucent stone well polished and of palest greenish-white tone
