These porcelain jue may be based on undecorated white-glazed porcelain examples of Yongle (1403-24) date, such as one excavated from Zhushan, Jingdezhen, and illustrated by Christine Lau, "The Porcelains of Jingdezhen", Colloquies on Art & Archaeology in Asia, no. 16, Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art, London, 1992, p. 87, pl. 2.
