marked Fabergé, workmaster Michael Perchin, St. Petersburg, circa 1890, with scratched inventory number 44966, the miniature by Theodore von Meyendorff
Rectangular, the oval aperture with portrait miniature of a young woman wearing a pearl necklace, signed lower left 'Th. Meyendorff', within beaded bezel in translucent nephrite border, the rim chased and engraved with ribbon-tied laurel leaves and rosettes at the angles, surmounted by ribbon cresting, the oval ivory back with scroll strut, marked on ribbon, the reverse of rim and strut, in velvet and silk-lined wooden box, the cover stamped in Russian 'Fabergé St Petersburg Moscow'
