FIRST EDITION, printed in August, September or December, 1908 (this copy has perfect type on p. 9 ["because"], and on p. 27 ["beautifully"]); PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Potter on the front free endpaper: "To Mr. Dixon of Howe End, these curious happenings amongst the foxgloves in Bishop's Wood are presented by the author with kind regards from Beatrix Heelis.
