Provenance

Eleanor St. George Caldecott, gift inscription to her on the front free endpaper verso: "Eleanor St. George Caldecott with her Mother's love." The recipient was the daughter of Clement Guest Caldecott and Frances Eleanor Caldecott (née Scott). Clement was Randolph Caldecott's half-brother.
