Title vignette and 27 color illustrations. 12mo, original dark grey paper boards, upper cover with inset color pictorial label, color pictorial endpapers (Linder 8 & 9 [used twice]), lower edges of covers and corners worn; upper hinge cracking near bottom, some pale foxing to frontispiece verso and title. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, without "LTD." on title-page. The New York office of Warne made a further change from "LTD" to "INC" in 1930. Not in Quinby.
