Maker's mark of Herne & Butty, London, 1762, apparently later flat-chased
Circular, the center engraved with coat-of-arms, crest and motto, flat-chased and engraved with broad band of flowers, foliage, and lush C-scrolls on matted ground, the trelliswork gallery rim issuing four openwork tapering supports--13¾in. (34.9cm.) diam., 38oz.
