Property of AN AMERICAN COLLECTOR The following 11 lots are the property of a private American collector whose interest in the work of Paul Outerbridge, Jr. dates from the late 1970s. Beginning with works purchased from the Robert Miller Gallery's 1978 exhibition of selected works from the artist's estate, prints were then added through auction over the next several years. Aside from the 1987 loan of eight platinum and carbro prints for the retrospective exhibition at the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Paris, the collection has remained out of the public eye since purchase.
