A NABESHIMA DISH

Set on a high ring foot with curved walls, painted in the shallow well in underglaze blue and copper-red and enamels of yellow and turquoise with cherry blossoms and three rafts floating down a stream, also decorated on the underside in underglaze blue with three flower sprays, each composed of a large floret centered by scrolling stems and leaves, and with a band of 'comb' design around the foot--8 1/8in. (20.2cm.) diameter
