The pencil inscription on the underside of this table links this table to an Irish provenance. The Durpres, an English family from Wilton Park had many Irish connections, most notably the Earls of Caledon, who resided at Caledon Castle, Co.Tyrone. Clonskeagh Castle in Dublin was home to the Thompson family.
