LBJ'S NOTES ON THE SOVIET UNION, INSCRIBED AND SIGNED AS PRESIDENT
Autograph material of Johnson in office is of legendary rarity. The lower part of the sheet contains notes penned by Johnson presumably during a discussion of the economic situation in the Soviet Union. LBJ has written and underlined the three words "Production," "cutback" and "need"; beneath, he adds "USSR present" and "USSR calculated." In the upper portion, LBJ has inscribed the sheet: "To Sy Halpern With Warm Regards Lyndon B. Johnson." He has added a second "LBJ" at bottom of the note. Provenance: Hamilton, 1976.
