An attractive bust-length vignette portrait of the former President of the Confederate States of America, printed (and perhaps signed) less than a year after his capture and imprisonment, but almost certainly printed from a negative of earlier date showing a youthful, vigorous Davis, probably circa 1861-1862. Clear signature in ink in lower blank portion of image.
