Of baluster form on spreading shaped circular foot cast and chased with gadrooning with shells at intervals, the body elaborately chased with scenes of a Chinese woman picking tea with a pyramid behind, enclosed by elaborate scrolls, foliage, rocaille, lion masks, pagodas and fishscale all on a matted ground, with foliate and scroll spout and wood scroll handle, the upper socket cast in the form of a Chinaman mask, the hinged domed cover with conforming decoration and spirally-fluted finial, marked on base and cover -- 11 ½ in.
