A RUSSIAN TWO-HANDLED COVERED SUGAR-BOWL, Provincial, mid 19th Century, broadly fluted oval, the short lobed oblong stem resting on four shell and foliate scroll feet with shell and scroll apron between, the sides of the body chased with medallions of arabesques, the ends surrounding the scroll handles engraved with rocaille and flat-chased with four flowerheads, with applied reeded rim, the molded raised cover with band of foliate engraving, and headed by cast flower-form finial--length over handles 9¾in. (24.7cm.), 19oz.
