The Arms are those of Portman quartering Berkeley impaling Hulse, for Edward Berkeley Portman, and his second wife. Mary, eldest daughter of Sir Edward Hulse. Bart of Breamore House, co. Wilts. He died at Rome in 1823. His son was created Baron Portman in 1837 and Viscount in 1873.
