A TWO-HANDLED CUP AND COVER, by Benjamin Pyne, London, 1718, Britannia standard, decoration later, bell-form, on circular spreading foot, the lower-part of the body applied with vertical panels of medallion strapwork within matted arcading and below molded mid rib, above engraved with coat-of-arms and another shield, within shell and foliate mantling, the other side with three crests, with two leaf-capped scroll handles, the raised molded cover with conforming strapwork band and headed by large urn finial--11¼in. (28.5cm.) high, 71oz.
