Laundress, Normandy

This painting was executed in Normandy and is quite typical in terms of subject matter, composition and color to the paintings Bridgman did of that region during the second decade of this century. Bridgman began exhibiting Normandy scenes in 1910 and the latest dated Normandy scene is from 1921.
