A RARE MING BAMBOO BRUSHPOT

Of cylindrical form supported on three short bracket feet, pierced and carved in deep relief throughout the exterior with a central scene of a lady painting within the confines of an extensive mountain pavilion dwelling and being waited on by two attendants, surrounded by a dense forest of pine, bamboo, and plantain growing from well-defined craggy rocks, and by a softly rippled lake, the bamboo with a softly polished reddish-brown surface, age cracks--6in. (15.4cm.) high
