AN EARLY MING WHITE-GLAZED SAUCER DISH XUANDE MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD
The shallow, rounded sides rising to an everted rim, covered inside and out with a finely pitted milk-white glaze, crack and small restored chip - 6 5/8 in. (16.8 cm.) diam.

A dish of this size, also with a Xuande mark, in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sedgwick, was included in the O.C.S. Exhibition of Monochrome Porcelain, 1948 Catalogue, no. 110, and another smaller example is in the National Palace Museum, Taiwan, Special Exhibition of Hsuan-te Wares, 1980, Catalogue, no. 120
