Well painted in soft tones of blue wash and line with a central sprig of gardenia blossoms surrounded by four flowering and fruiting sprays of ribbon-tied lotus, pomegranate, persimmon, and grape in the well, the shallow rounded sides decorated on the exterior with a continuous peony scroll below the everted rim, all within double line borders and reserved on a thin, pale lemon yellow ground-- 10 3/8in. (26.4cm.) diam.
