The lower panel decorated with a crane with spread wings standing atop rocks rising from multicolored waves, surrounded by various blossoming sprigs including lotus, peony, chrysanthemum and pomegranate, all against a ground of pinkish-gold thread and below a red sun, the upper panel with a pair of cranes in flight on either side of a lishui border, all within a black satin border, some staining 42 x 36 5/8in. (106.7 x 93cm.) overall
