A GEORGE V FOUR-PIECE TEA-SERVICE ON TWO-HANDLED TRAY, maker's mark of Mappin & Webb, Sheffield, 1934, comprising tea-kettle on stand (lamp lacking), teapot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl and cream-jug, each monogrammed, vase-shaped with fluted corners, on oval molded foot, the teapot and kettle with partly raised hinged cover topped by vase-form bone finial, the teapot with bone harp-form handle, the tea-kettle with fixed overhead handle and on chained fluted circular stand, resting on four shell and scroll feet--the tea-kettle on stand over handle 13¼in. (33.6cm.) high; the oval tray with moled border and applied undulating rim, with shaped reeded handles--length over handles 28in. (71.1cm.) long; together with a set of twelve demitasse-spoons, three pronged cake forks and a pair of sugar-tongs--gross weight 222oz.
