A GEORGE IV SCOTTISH THREE-PIECE TEA-SERVICE WITH MATCHING COFFEE-POT maker's mark Elder & Co., Edinburgh, 1832-1835, comprising bombe teapot, two-handled sugar-bowl, cream-jug and pear-shaped coffee-pot jug, each bombe on molded circular foot, with chased continuous grapevine everted collar, acanthus leaf capped scroll handles, the pots with elaborate shell and foliate, fluted spouts, the partly domed hinged covers topped by bud finial (differing)--the coffee-pot 11¾in. (29.8cm.) high, gross weight 82.5oz.
