A PAIR OF VASES, probably South American, late 19th Century, each on trumpet-shaped foot, the foot and most of the body flat-chased and engraved with arcades of rose-heads and foliage on matted ground between plain flutes, the shoulder repousse and chased with roseheads and further flowerheads, the waisted neck engraved with stiffleaf, the foot rim and rim applied with spikey leaves and flowerheads, and three stiff leaves between body and foot, with two foliate scroll cast handles--13¾in. (34.9cm.) high, 82oz.
