A SERVING DISH AND COVER, maker's mark of Gorham, circa 1871, no. 150, molded oval, on four button feet, the two upswept handles with central bearded ram's mask with openwork anthemion above, with wavy die-rolled border and applied beaded rim; the cover identical to dish, excepting handles, and with detachable double steer's head finial--length over handles 12½in. (31.7cm.), 43.5oz.
