A THREE PIECE TEA-SERVICE, with maker's mark of Francis W. Cooper, New York, circa 1850, also stamped A.C. Ross, comprising teapot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, and covered milk-jug, each broadly fluted tapering oval, on four foliate scroll feet, front and back chased with broad frieze of flowering foliage, centering floral, foliate scroll and rocaille cartouche, one engraved EG in script, with part foliate chased and engraved capped C-scroll handle, the hinged raised fluted covers topped by engraved octagonal stepped finial; the tea-pot with part foliate chased faceted spout--the teapot 9¼in. (23.4cm.) high, gross weight 68.5oz.
