This painting is a study for a mural which was never executed. It was meant to decorate the building belonging to the Diario de la Marina, Havana's leading newspaper where Mario Carreño worked in 1948

It is sold with a photo-certificate of authenticity from Ida Gonzalez de Carreño dated 'Stgo-Chile Mayo 1996'
