Wearing a skull cap with side braids, and a mantle open on his right side revealing a short-sleeved tunic and the pommel of his falcata, a type of curved knife, his caetra, a round shield, suspended by a strap on his back, the right hand extended palm outwards in supplication, the now-missing left hand originally holding a spear
