AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORM ALABASTRON
circa 4th-3rd century b.c.
Blue in color, with a slightly bulging cylindrical body, rounded bottom, cylindrical neck and projecitng rim, with twin applied lugs, and applied yellow marvered and unmarvered threads, mostly obscured by a thick iridescent layer; together with an Eastern Mediterranean core-form amphoriskos, circa 5th-4th century B.C., with a conical body, knob foot, cylindrical neck and conical rim, twin handles on the shoulders (one missing), with applied marvered and unmarvered yellow and turquoise threads; a Roman glass sprinkler flask, the mold-made globular body with cylindrical neck constricted on the interior, and a wide, flat rim; and a glass vessel composed of a pear-shaped body of one vessel now joined to the conical neck of another vessel
