On plain circular straight-sided form with two everted acanthus scroll handles and molded rim, with removable collar, the front engraved with a coat-of-arms against ermine mantling, the collar with a crest, marked on base and collar -- 7 in. (17.8 cm.)

The arms are those of Copley, for Sir Joseph Copley, Bt., of Sprotborough, Yorkshire.

It is interesting to see that, according to the Gentleman's Ledger of Robert Garrard, a pair of "ice pails" were sold to Sir Joseph Copley in 1808 - evidently they were refurbished second-hand plate:
