ATTRIBUTED TO DUNCAN PHYFE, NEW YORK, 1800-1815
The tripartite tablet crestrail centering carved bow-tied sheaves of wheat flanked by panels with carved thunderbolts above an upholstered back flanked by reeded arm rests above reeded baluster and foliate-carved supports over a rounded rectangular seat with reeded seatrail, on reeded baluster-and-ring-turned legs with brass casters (one foot pieced)--38½in. high, 77in. wide, 31in. deep
