Lot Essay

A virtually identical high-chest-of-drawers featuring the same highly figured maple veneer drawer fronts and similar overall measurements, formerly in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel Taradash is illustrated in Antiques (January, 1953), p. 44 and American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection (1974), vol. V, p. 1265, no. P4223. Both high-chests are probably the product of the same shop.
