The hood with pierced fretwork centering three reeded plinths above an arched glazed door opening to a white-painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapter rings with sweep seconds ring, the spandrels embellished with gilt scrolls and urns surmounted by a pastoral scene and inscribed "Aaron Willard, Jr., Boston" flanked by reeded colonettes over a waisted case with an applied eagle mount above a crossbanded molded cupboard door bearing a partial label of Aaron Willard, Jr. flanked
by reeded quarter columns with brass capitals and bases over a crossbanded box base centering a lyre mount, on bracket feet (feet pieced, fret restored, saddle board and supports restored)--97in. high, 18½in. wide, 9./4in. deep
