The hood with swan's-neck scroll pediment centering a brass ball and steeple finial above a Prince-of-Wales plume-carved keystone and running Greek-key dentill-molded arched glazed door opening to a white-painted dial with calendar day aperature and sweep seconds, minutes and hour hands surmounted by a floral swag shield inscribed "Luth Goddard/SHREWSBURY," flanked by fluted colonettes, the waisted case with arched and thumb-molded door flanked by chamfered and fluted corners over a plinth base with arched raised panel, on ogee bracket feet--87 1/4in. high, 21 1/8in. wide, 11 3/8in. deep
