A CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE PEAR-SHAPED VASE, 19TH CENTURY, set at the waisted neck with iron-red and gilt elephant-head handles below a narrow band of cell-pattern and a broader band of flowers reserved on black at the bulbous mouth, painted on the body in bright enamels in the so-called "mandarin palette" with two scrolled panels of ladies and children at leisure within pavilions, divided by a band of further similar panels reserved on a faux bois ground enriched with iron-red and gilt flowerheads, all reserved on a dense ground of gilt Meissen-style scrolls - 8 1/2 in. (2l.5 cm.) high
