With a rectangular ormolu-moulded top with an inset gilt-tooled red leather writing surface above a shaped frieze fitted with three drawers opposed by three sham drawers, on square tapering legs with applied panels and cap feet applied at the sides with musical and armorial trophies, the lock plate inscribed "ESCALIER DE CRISTAL, PARIS" --29¼ in. (74 cm.) high, 62¾ in. (159 cm.) wide, 37¾ in. (96 cm.) deep
