A PAIR OF GEORGE III MEAT-DISHES AND A PAIR OF WINE-COASTERS, the meat-dishes stamped Cowie & Co., Longacre, the silver bosse of the wine-coasters, London, 1813, the dishes shaped oval, one side engraved with armorials, the other with two crests and mottos, each on inset silver, with applied tongue-and-dart rim, with four shells spilling onto the border--15¼in. (40cm.) long; the circular wine-coasters, partly fluted, with gadrooned rim, and turned wood base to the silver central bosse--6in. (15.2cm.) diam.
