Syria, Seleucid Kingdom, a group of four Silver Tetradrachms, including two Tetradrachms of King Antiochos I (280-261 BC), mint of Seleucia-on-the-Tigris, diademed head of Antiochos I right, rev. Apollo seated on omphalos, holding bow and arrow, legend and monograms in field (Houghton CSE 949var., 950), together with a similar Tetradrachm of Antiochus III (223-187 BC), mint of Tarsus (Houghton CSE 461var.) and a Tetradrachm of Seleukos I, mint of Laodicea ad Mare, head of Herakles, wearing lion's scalp, right, rev. Zeus seated left, holding eagle and sceptre, dolphin and monogram in front, legend in field (Houghton CSE 444var.), very fine, one with small areas of porosity (4) (lot)
