A GEORGE II SILVER SALVER, London, 1752, maker's mark of William Peaston, shaped circular form on three scroll feet, the scroll rim with shells at intervals, chased with a broad band of foliate scrolls, flowerheads and rocaille enclosing panels of fishscale, the center engraved with a coat-of-arms within an asymetrical foliate scroll and rocaille cartouche, marked on reverse -- 14 in. (35.5 cm.) diam., 37.5oz.
