TWO GERMAN SILVER-MOUNTED DECANTERS, probably late 19th Century, the first with swirling fluted glass body, on fluted circular base on four foliate scroll feet, the shoulder and neck chased with similar fluting twice centering vacant asymetrical cartouche within rocaille, with further rocaille bands, with multi-scroll decorated handle, the hinged raised circular cover, covering spout, chased with foliate scrolls, with bifurcated thumpiece and openwork foliate finial--14½in. (36.8cm.) high; the second with squat oblong body fluted with serrated strips, with rococo-style mounts composed of two asymetrical cartouches, one engraved with within foliate scrolls, rocaille, with floral swag under spout, with foliate multi-scroll handle, the himed raised cover with conforming decoration and topped by foliate scroll finial--10¾in.
