A FRENCH SILVER SMALL ECUELLE AND OYSTER-COMPOTE, both late 19th Century, the first of typical form, with two shell tab handles, the raised molded cover with dentilated rim, with artichoke finial above fluted radiating calyx--length over handles 6¾in. (17.1cm.); the second shaped oval, on four ball feet, with scroll handle, the shell form hinged cover with spoon cut-out and topped by seahorse finial--length over handle-- 6in. (15.2cm.), 19oz.
