AN ITALIAN FOUR-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE, Milan, late 19th Century, stamped A GIACCHE, comprising teapot, coffee-pot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl and cream-jug, each inverted pear-shaped, on acanthus applied shaped circular foot, the body chased with alternate matted and plain flutes, the wood scroll handles with foliate and floral joins, with foliate scroll applied partly covered spout, with bellflower issuing fruit-swag and acanthus leaf below, the pots with hinged raised similarly fluted, and foliate engraved, cover, topped by cast floral and foliate scroll finial--the coffee-pot 8½in. (21.5cm.) high, gross weight 76.5oz.
