AN ELABORATE SILVER CAKE-BASKET, marked STERLING 2218, probably late 19th Century, shaped oval, on four foliate scroll feet, the center engraved RMN scroll and foliate bordered, above with engraved quilted band rising to everted undulating shoulder alternately engraved and pierced with lush foliage, applied with elaborate foliate C-scroll and foliate scroll rim, the overhead swing handle openwork with similar decoration to the rim and bellflowers--12¼in.
