A GEORGE IV SILVER FOUR PIECE TEA SET, Birmingham, 1904 maker's mark of J&C, the hot-water jug 1905, comprising teapot, two-handled sugar-bowl, hot-water jug, and cream-jug, each oval with bowed sides, on rim foot, the shoulder chased with broad frieze of scrolls and flowering foliage centering two sides vacant shaped cartouche, all above fluted band, with applied gadrooned rim, the hinged partly domed cover to the pots with conforming chasing and topped by (differing) wood finials, with wood angular handle, the teapot with part decorated spout--the hot-water jug 8½in. (21.5cm.) high, gross weight 56oz.
