A FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA-SERVICE, New York, maker's mark of Nicholas J. Bogert, early to mid 19th Century, comprising teapot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, cream-jug and waste-bowl, each broadly fluted urn-form, on raised circular base on reeded rim foot, the sides engraved with undulating scrolling foliate, centering oval cartouche engraved Marvine in script, with applied reeded collar and rim, part engraved scroll handle, the teapot with partly domed, partly engraved hinged cover topped by cast flower-form finial--the teapot 10in. (25.4cm.) high, gross weight 82oz.
