A CONTINENTAL MONUMENTAL TWO-HANDLED SILVER VASE
The base struck with prestige marks, in the French style, crowned E, A, P, Fleur de Lis, probably Hanau, lacking assay mark, the screw-in body unmarked
Vase form, on swirling fluted domed rectangular pedestal base chased with band of acanthus, the lower body chased with radiating stiff leaf, repousse above with ribbon-tied fruited festoons, repeated on the waisted neck, the shoulder chased with broad frieze of musical floating putti and amourini amid clouds, the neck with band of cornucopia flanked anthemion--34½in. (87.6cm.) high, 280oz.
